Tumescent Liposuction (also known as Liposculpture) is today’s new “advanced” way to achieve better, more desirable, body shaping*. Tumescent Liposuction is just as effective as “traditional” liposuction, but with less complications, soreness, bruising, and scarring*. Gentle and minimally invasive, recovery will be rapid with outstanding results*.
What is the Tumescent Liposuction Procedure?
Any liposuction procedure that is performed using Tumescent Fluid is considered as Tumescent Liposuction. Tumescent Fluid is local numbing of the fatty area prior to removal using a dilute lidocaine solution. Once injected, the fat tissue swells and becomes tight, or becomes “tumesced”, making it easier for the surgeon to sculpt the target area with a more advantageous outcome*.
All Liposuction done at Houston Liposuction Center is a form of Tumescent Liposuction, also known as Liposculture. At Houston Liposuction Center we are committed to our patient’s satisfaction.

How Tumescent Liposuction Works
The Tumescent Liposuction procedure begins with a local anesthesia administered to the specific area of the body with unwanted fatty tissues. Patients are awake and able to communicate with the doctor during this surgery.
Then, one or two small incisions are made in the skin to remove the fatty deposits with a cannula, a 3 millimeter diameter instrument used to extract the excess fatty tissue. This extremely thin tube is inserted under the skin; and with slow, gentle movements, the fatty deposits are broken up and then quickly extracted. The use of a smaller cannula means no stitches and therefore entry points will naturally begin to close and heal within 48 hours*.
After the procedure, patients normally return to work within one or two days, with light to medium activities performed by patient within the 48 hour period. A light compression garment will be worn continuously for 1-2 weeks*.
The Houston Liposuction Center staff look forward to providing you outstanding customer service and amazing liposuction results.
